Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a popular topic in today’s world that influences the digital revolution. Businesses are keen on adopting AI as a part of their digital transformation journey. AI enables enterprises to be agile, resilient, innovative, and competitive. But it is not so easy to incorporate AI into business processes and get the desired outcome. Several organizations fail to adopt AI for different reasons and at varying levels of integration.

According to a global survey report by International Data Corporation (IDC), a considerable number of organizations reported failures in their AI projects. Though different organizations follow different methodologies and approaches to AI adoption, some common road blockers exist. Let’s learn about the most reasons for AI adoption failure observed by adopters across industries:

  1. Lack of a data strategy and structured data
Data is the most crucial component of any AI initiative. According to AWS, “a data strategy is a long-term plan that defines the technology, processes, people, and rules required to manage an organization’s information assets”. Unfortunately, a considerable percentage of organizations fail to implement the foundation of all your data practices. So, in most cases, they get incomplete and unorganized data. A Forbes survey of 700 global C-suite executives shows that a minimal percentage (only 12%) of companies have built, and are executing, a company-wide data strategy. As a result, most enterprises have unstructured data in almost every aspect, including text files, emails, social media messages, and employee complaints. It becomes extremely difficult for organizations to accumulate and consolidate such unstructured data from different systems of records and silos. It decreases the visibility and accessibility of data across departments; Organizations face challenges in addressing data management aspects like data quality, data security, etc.

If you plan to adopt AI, first, you need to think about data, develop a data strategy and implement that throughout the organizations and gather structured and usable data. AI solutions are built on a cohesive, well-structured data strategy. It will not only provide you with the power to observe and understand customers, their behavior, and their changing demands but also be able to predict trends in the market.

  1. No linkage to business outcomes
Another primary reason behind the underperformance of AI for certain businesses is that they consider artificial intelligence as “ a high-tech, superpower thing” without proper planning on how to use the AI results. Being isolated from actual business goals, AI implementation fails to produce desired outcomes. When one adopts AI without knowing how the organization will get and use the AI results, the whole purpose of AI adoption fails. In most cases of AI adoption failure, organizations seem to concentrate more on the production of AI, such as systems, processes, setting up tools, etc.
On the other hand, the most successful AI adopters start their AI adoption process by identifying their business pain points and challenges and trying to align AI solutions with them. Business owners also involve process owners and AI experts in planning to ensure they adopt AI solutions effectively. A well-defined AI strategy is needed to align technology and business together to kick-start the adoption process and get a successful outcome. Every concerned person in the organization must be aware of what business problems need to be solved, what is the purpose of incorporating AI into their workflows, what are their expectation on completion of the AI adoption and what success will look like.
  2. Insufficiency of the right talents
With the continuous improvement of data-driven technologies like AI, the demand for skilled people like data scientists has increased enormously (more than 650%). But the supply of competent practitioners seems insufficient as per the market needs. It makes the situation more challenging for businesses that want to adopt AI. The insufficiency of skilled professionals and AI talents in the market causes enterprises to upskill their existing employees. But sometimes, this initiative of upskilling existing employees doesn’t reflect the appropriate outcome.

How can MSPs help businesses to adopt AI?
Partnering with a managed IT service provider(MSP) can benefit businesses to adopt AI solutions efficiently. An MSP can help their corporate customers’ AI adoption by improving speed, quality and efficiency, filling the talent gaps, and reducing business risks.

  1. Reduced risk of failure
According to a Gartner report, about 42% of survey respondents do not completely understand the benefits of AI — leading to unsuccessful AI incorporation. Partnering with an MSP can reduce this risk of brand failure by developing an effective AI implementation plan according to the business needs. Since experienced MSPs have better knowledge about the pitfalls and have tried-and-tested processes and tools for effective AI implementation with minimal risks.
  2. Improved efficiency
Developing and implementing an AI model needs to collect and annotate data; build, test, and deploy the model; and monitor it frequently. Partnering with an MSP can help organizations to automate and create pipelines for these processes. System automation will improve efficiency without the need to expend resources. Partnering with an MSP allows companies to remain competitive with faster turnaround and scaling rates.

When a company tries to source data on its own for AI initiatives, the process can be complicated and time-consuming. The initiative can even end up creating biased datasets. These consequences can lead to limited or inefficient AI models that fail to offer valuable insights and desired outcomes.

An MSP offers modern quality controls and efficient data management tools, which can bring better accuracy and consistency to AI models.

  1. Meets talent gaps
While reskilling or hiring new staff in-house can help businesses in their AI initiatives, these are expensive and not always sufficient. On the other hand, seeking expertise from an MSP can be a more effective and affordable way to fill the talent gap.

Conclusion
Adopting AI models can be a challenging process for businesses. This complex process requires high costs, specialized skills, efficient pipelines, and tons of resources. So, partnering with managed service providers is wise to help businesses in their AI adoption and workflows. Partnering with a suitable MSP could result in a higher return on investment (ROI) as well. MSPs are valuable solutions for organizations to launch AI models and enhance operational efficiency.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a system that can mimic human intelligence and are capable of performing tasks that need human intelligence. AI is software with human-like thinking capacity — it gathers information, analyzes it, makes decisions according to the inputted information, and acts to perform the task. The software can complete tasks without relying on human intervention. With the implementation of AI in business, you can accomplish a job without human intervention. Implementing AI can speed up processes, avoid any kind of biasness, and gather better insights from data.

Modern days, managed IT service providers (MSPs) have become essential to several organizations to meet their technical needs—the number of businesses requiring outsourced technical support is increasing rapidly. To deliver quality IT support services at a faster pace and affordable cost, MSPs leverage advanced technologies like AI. For better service packages and improved customer satisfaction, MSPs are driving towards AI-powered solutions for their clients. AI can help MSPs to improve their way of IT management and provide customized services to propel customer satisfaction.

Influence of Artificial Intelligence in Managed Services
Nowadays, service automation is in high demand. To maximize automation in business processes, managed IT services are mostly dependent on artificial intelligence-powered digital technologies such as robotic process automation (RPA), the Internet of things (IoT) and bots. Managed IT services firms can utilize AI in multiple ways to transform service operations and provide tailored solutions to their clients.

  1. Automated Technical Support
Several client companies look for fast and efficient technical support services for MSPs. Therefore, managed IT services firms have to be prepared for the same and spend a large proportion of their resources on operational activities, such as
    Execute service requests
    Access authentication
    Close incident tickets
    Perform changes
    Update installation, etc.
MSPs can automate all these tasks by implementing artificial intelligence to save time, resources, and money. By intelligently automate complex tasks, one can deliver efficient service at a much cheaper cost and, at the same time, help clients to achieve their business goals.

Proper implementation of AI along with bots (e.g., Chatbots) can invariably improve autonomy and also improves end-user experience. When using AI-powered software to gather the users’ query or information and process that and use a bot to provide human-like interaction for the user – the overall effectiveness of the service desk increases a lot.

  1. Refocusing Resources
Apart from routine, repetitive, and monotonous tasks, MSPs can utilize AI to automate proactive and resourceful tasks like backup monitoring, firewall managing, CPU utilization tracking, or incident solving. Using the human-like thinking capability of AI, MSP can come up with a smarter deployment of resources to improve clients’ satisfaction. Using AI, MSPs can provide more accurate and fast services.
  2. Asset Maintenance
Asset maintenance and management is always a tiring task for managed services – be it their own assets or clients’ ones. Keeping every asset up and functional is vital in completing specific tasks timely. Malfunctioning of even one asset can affect the entire workflow and also the functionality of other assets.

Here AI and automation can help MSPs to monitor each asset and its functionality and predict potential breakdowns. Considering the assessment result, MSPs can create a maintenance schedule before an actual issue to minimize any interruptions in business processes. This predictive and auto-corrective service model ensures that the end-users system continues to work without any noticeable drop in performance.

  1. Incident Management
Using AI, managed services can also automate the validation, investigation, and resolution of incidents. This way, the recovery phase becomes faster. Automated incident analysis can reduce irrelevant, redundant alerts and allows service providers to encounter the root causes of issues quickly and resolve them.

Automating incident analysis makes it easy to identify and resolve common issues when they arise, without even experts’ interventions. So, the mean-time-to-repair (MTTR) reduces a lot, and end-users can enjoy uninterrupted services and minimal downtime.

  1. Improve Security and Compliance
Currently, when cybersecurity is a huge concern, MSPs have to be more focused on improving cyber protections and preventing cyberattacks. MSPs can incorporate AI-powered cybersecurity solutions to continuously monitor customers’ networks and IT infrastructure, scan for anomalies, detect potential malfunctioning or issues, identify the root causes of the issues and take preventive actions to stop any invasion attempt.

Compared to manual screening, AI-powered, automated anomaly screening software are more accurate, fast, and provides better protection to the end-users system. Along with enhanced security, AI and machine learning (ML) together can facilitate compliance measures. An AI-powered compliance monitoring system can alert to any drifts in configuration and deviations from baseline performance and prevent potential compliance or security violations.

Probable Hurdles to Incorporate AI-powered solutions
Convincing clients to accept AI-powered IT services can be a bit problematic for MSPs. Clients may face technical, cultural, and financial challenges when embracing AI within their internal service operations. Here are some common issues:

Some organizations may hesitate to accept modern solutions for their traditional IT infrastructure and systems. They are just not ready to accept an immediate structural change.
The hesitation towards AI can be due to a lack of exposure to new work culture, experience, and training.
Inadequate budget or scope to incorporate AI in business processes and upskilling employees to handle their new roles and responsibilities.
Resistance to the idea of automating business processes
Unwillingness to letting bots interact with their valued customers

Conclusion:
A managed IT service provider can refresh their service packages using AI tools and process automation. MSPs also upskill their professionals to help client organizations to take a leap of faith and successfully implement the latest technologies. They can help their clients to uncover new opportunities or possibilities. Managed services empowered by artificial intelligence teams can also help businesses to save operational costs and improve productivity and business stability.

How the page load time of a website affects SEO, User experience and revenue

Everyone loves to become first. Because there is no place for the second. When breaking news happens, the news channel rushes to be the ‘first’ to cover the news. When a new product is launched, everybody wants to be the first to see and review it. Same psychology holds true when a user visits a website. The user expects websites to work with the same agility when the person is looking for any important information. If the page takes forever to load, the user simply moves away to the one which opens faster.

How many users are you losing out for slow page load time?

Today users love speed and faster access to everything. Recent studies say that users wait for 2 seconds or less for a page to load and if not, they simply move on. If you want to make your online business prominent and reach out to a larger audience base then you need to pay attention to your page load time. A statistic reveals that 64 percent of online shoppers are dissatisfied with an online shopping experience because of slow page load time. This means not only websites are losing out traffic who could have earned the revenue, but they will also not recommend the website to others. That further adds up to revenue loss. And in this age of social media, words spread faster than light!

Not just users, Google too!

Like users, Google too loves the website that works with bolstering speed. Because it understands that the page load time is the key for the better user experience and hence, they rank websites higher that have a faster load time compared to the rest. So, if your page load time is slow, then Google and your competitors will be bypassing you soon. Research has further confirmed that mobile users do not wait more than 3 seconds for a page to load or content to appear. Here are some interesting stats:

1. Amazon reported every 100 ms of latency cost them 1 percent in sales

2. There was a loss of an additional 10 percent of users for every additional second their site took to load, reported BBC

Google can easily track such user behavior and obviously ranks a site low for more page load time

A slower website also indicates an inefficient website. This can be translated as the website has too many large media files, media files that are not well optimized, the company is not using the latest tools and technologies. To put it another way, Google has to spend more bandwidth, time and resources to process a website that has a higher page load time. On the other hand, a faster loading website not only enhances the user experience but it also lowers Google’s operating cost. So, it’s a win-win for both users and Google.

What is the page load time of your website?

If you’re missing on traffic, check for the page load time of your website. There are lots of online tools available that can help you measure the page load time. Lighthouse for Google Chrome, for example, is a fantastic tool to measure page load time. You may find other tools as well that can provide a waterfall diagram of how all of the assets load on your website. With a few tweaks in the codes and optimizing your web page, you can lower the page load time and delight your users as well as Google.

Future of IT Infrastructure Is Always On, Always Available, Everywhere – Gartner

Information technology is evolving at a fast pace. New technologies are coming up almost every day. One of the biggest assets of the IT companies is its large volume of data. If you’re a data-driven IT company who is adept with the new technologies, then you must be concerned about your IT infrastructure management. How can you keep your data safe and secure, especially in a dynamic environment where the environment is constantly changing and evolving? Knowing the future of infrastructure management will certainly help you to adapt to this dynamic environment. In fact, Gartner says that organizations need to bring in an agile IT infrastructure and embrace emerging technologies for global reach, flexibility, cost-effectiveness, entering a new market anytime, anywhere and of course to bring in more flexibility.

The future is in the Cloud

With enterprises embracing digitization and technology getting evolved, more and more organizations are leaning towards Cloud for their IT infrastructure management. Gone are the days, when the organization needed a large volume of resources to manage data. With Cloud coming in, enterprises are fast adapting to it. Cloud is not only fast, but it protects your data keeping it safe, require fewer resources and helps you save a lot of money on your IT infrastructure management.

As-a-service will no longer be news

Cloud technology has set the foundation for new business models in the form of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) where the service providers use the principle of cloud to create virtual resources. Enterprises can use these services from their individual location at a much affordable cost. The shift from capital expenditure to operational expenditure is not new. However, the coming days will see more rapid traction in this domain. According to a report published by Mckinsey, revenues for infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS) have increased manifolds. Enterprises opting for IaaS and PaaS won’t be any more a news in the coming days, but how fast they are adapting to it would be an interesting aspect to watch out for.

Cybersecurity will take a lead

By 2020, cybersecurity will top the priority list for business enterprises. It is already a C-suite and board-level priority and will continue to be so in the coming days. With emerging threats every day, enterprises need to invest in cybersecurity by building a robust and secure IT infrastructure management system. While many organizations are not able to recruit cybersecurity experts in the house either due to budget or lack of trained professionals in the industry, cloud-based security offerings are catching the attention of many enterprises. McKinsey estimates that they will comprise 60 percent of security products by 2020. This will be a significant rise from 10 percent in 2015.

Automation and Machine Learning

We’re now living in an age of automation and machine learning. Machines are becoming ‘smarter’ where they are ‘learning’ and making ‘decisions’ without human intervention. The IT cloud infrastructure system should also be enabled with machine learning where it could learn from its past experiences and assess the space required to make decisions without human intervention. In short, it will automate the process and reduce the time, money and energy of enterprises in managing its data better.

Customer- facing IT infrastructure management to rule

Whatever said and done, customer-centricity is and will stay in the coming years as long as the future of the IT infrastructure management is concerned. The IT infrastructure system that is easy to manage, takes less manpower to monitor, has efficient performance and saves cost is going to rule.

Artificial Intelligence or AI is one of the biggest technological innovations in recent times that has impacted our lives and how businesses operate to a great extent. It is only natural to expect that in the coming years AI will be playing a major role in every aspect of the business including Managed Services too. If you are a managed service provider one of your biggest concerns might be if AI is going to replace your job? While there is no way to predict the degree of impact AI will have on MSB, however, it can be said safely that there will be an impact. Let’s dig in deeper.

AI is the branch of computer engineering that enables machines to “learn”. This is done by providing new information (data) to the machine in addition to its existing knowledge. With the help of AI, the machine is then capable to gain insights and find patterns and make deductions using the information available to it. The best thing about AI is it eliminates the need for programming every action a machine needs to perform. It enables the machine to perform additional tasks “on its own”.

Role of AI in Manages Services

Managed Services can be greatly benefited from the intervention of AI. Having AI-enabled machines can make controlling network traffic easier, let you fix machine issues without your intervention, chatbots can make interactions faster without human interventions, and lot more. As the AI system matures with more innovations in the coming days, we can expect to see a better performance of these machines in the coming days.

As IT Managed service business you may already predict that certain problems will occur. For example, applications needing updates, servers crashing, people needing help because they forgot their passwords and so on. However, the challenge is, you don’t know when these situations will arise. Leveraging AI and machine learning you will be in a better position to predict them and take necessary actions accordingly.

Companies are looking at service levels that are no more restricted to a classic service desk but that offers a holistic approach to manage change and compliance and financial planning. Gartner says that while the number of AI implementations was 10 % a few years ago, today it stands at 37 % which is a whopping 270% increase. So, it won’t be wrong if we say that AI technologies will be transforming the IT Managed Services in the coming years. With analytics tying the knots with AI, it is going to be the focus area for the near future.

How AI will transform the Managed Services

With AI gaining prominence the days are not far away when using virtual service desk agents and chatbots leveraging NLP will be the new normal. From patch management to incident routing AI will have a key role to play in every sphere of managed services. With automation and intelligence taking the front seats, the concept of service management is going to transform completely. Presently, organizations spend almost 70% to 80% of resources on different operational activities like executing service requests, closing incident tickets, and delivering changes. With AI getting prominence, all of these repetitive tasks will get automated thus making service delivery faster, cheaper and more efficient. As these tasks get automated, we will see an organization shifting its focus more on service design that can be used for many years. In short, since most of the tasks will get automated, professionals can spend their time and energy in innovating and evolving processes and technologies to achieve business goals.

Why you should opt for Managed Services for your business

If you are not yet using managed services for your business then it is the high time to consider for your business and reap the benefits of AI. How? MSP are continuously trying to improve their services by leveraging AI technology and striving towards bringing in new dimensions to various business sectors. Managed service providers who are collaborating with AI offer simplified next-gen solutions that let them just ‘plug-and-play’ that will overall improve the customer experience for their products.

Every organization is seeking to gain a competitive advantage while they bring in newer technologies and better products. The AI craze started in 2018 and became the most trending buzzword. Since then, AI or artificial intelligence has been influencing our day-to-day lives in some way or the other. AI is no more a scene for a science fiction movie where robots take over the human civilization. AI has got smoothly integrated into our daily lives. From smartphones to voice recognition devices, there is a little bit of AI in everything that you see around yourself. Here are some of the top AI trends that we saw in 2019 and how they are going to influence our lives in 2020 and beyond.

Humanizing chatbots

Chatbots are no more a surprise. Businesses have integrated chatbots to ease their customer interaction. However, in 2019 the AI-enabled chatbots became more humane and more sophisticated. Many businesses are leveraging the power of deep learning to make the chatbots more humanized. In 2020 and way beyond, we can expect to see and experience more real-life like sophisticated AI with a human face like virtual chatbots that would interact with us in real-time. With more vocabulary and natural speech, these interactions will become more humanoid in the coming days.

Speech recognition is the new normal

Speech recognition is common now – the presence of Alexa and Siri at almost every household is a testimonial to that. The days are not far away when AI-enabled speech and voice recognition would make your online shopping a breeze, check weather, or just browse the web for information.

Digital health technology

While some of the obvious usages of AI can be seen easily, AI is also making tremendous progress in digital health technology. Since most of the benefits are behind the scenes and we don’t see them, but AI is actually leveraging the principle of ‘prevention is better than cure’ and thus identifying potential health risks in patients. The coming days will see how AI helps to emulate human cognition to analyse the complicated medical data.

AI and cybersecurity

The sophistication of cybersecurity is increasing at a steady pace with the advent of new technologies. Hence, in the coming years, AI is going to play a positive and significant role in managing cybersecurity and preventing threats from cyber-attacks while machine learning can be used to easily identify security breaches.

Artificial Intelligence in 2020: According to Forrester’s survey

53% of global data and analytics decision-makers say they have implemented, are in the process of implementing, or are expanding or upgrading their implementation of some form of artificial intelligence.

29% of global developers have worked on AI/machine learning (ML) software in the past year.

54% of global mobility decision-makers say that their firms are implementing edge computing flexibility to handle present and future AI demands is one of the biggest benefits they anticipate with edge computing.

16% of global B2C marketing decision-makers planned to increase spending on data and analytics technologies, including AI, by 10% or more this year.

In a separate prediction done by IDC, it is said that by 2025, AI will be everywhere. It further says that by 2025, at least 90% of new enterprise application releases will include embedded AI functionality. With the above data in hand, Forrester has made a few predictions for 2020.

These include

25% of Fortune 500 companies will have artificial intelligence in their RPA to build hundreds of new use cases.

The IDC has predicted that 75% of organizations will leverage automation in technology harnessing the power of AI-enabled software and brining innovation by 2024.

Predictions say that by 2025, 50% of computer vision and speech recognition models will run on the edge while by 2023, nearly 20% of servers that process AI workloads using AI-optimized processors and co-processors will be deployed at the edge.

Experts also predict that by 2020, senior executives who are serious about AI will ensure that their respective organizations have a strong data science team with access to all kinds of data. However, it would be interesting to see how they tap the data sources.

It is said that for AI to have a further positive impact, it needs to get further integrated with other technologies like Blockchain and IoT.  With so much so happening in AI, we are all set to witness how AI is going to disrupt the technology space in the coming years and influence our day-to-day lives.

Mobile app technology is a fascinating field that is evolving with every passing day. We already have quite a few interesting technologies in hand that is going to make an impact in 2020 and beyond. As per experts, the mobile app industry is one of the leading sectors that is growing at the fastest pace. As per Statista, apps are expected to generate $189 Billion US dollars in revenue by 2020. With mobile apps reshaping business for many years now, it is no brainer that more and more businesses will be tapping the power of mobile apps in the coming years. No doubt, exciting times are ahead and we are all excited to see where this industry leads us to.

From delivering personalized content to helping build the corporate brand, boosting customer engagement, reducing cost, and increasing sales, mobile apps have a lot to contribute to businesses irrespective of the industry they operate in. There is no denial of the fact that the popularity of mobile apps is soaring high every day with 1.96 million apps are featured in the App Store and 2.46 million apps are available on Google Play (as of the second quarter of 2019).

In recent times, the mobile app development industry has been greatly influenced by different innovations including Blockchain, Internet of Things, Augmented and Virtual Reality, AI and Chatbots, Cloud-based mobile app development, M-Commerce, and lot more. Let’s take a closer look at what will be the mobile app development trend in 2020 and the coming years.

The Beacon Technology

The Beacon technology has been embraced by various industries already for its ease to use in location technology and proximity marketing. It is a big hit among hotels, hospitals, museums, restaurants, etc. Beacon can be an interesting technology to use in the retail business especially when merged with IoT.

Wearable Trends

Smart wearables are not new. We have already seen the growing demands of fitness bands, smartwatches, trackers and smart rings. The wearable industry is growing steading and to tap into this growing business, mobile apps should look for integration with these smart wearables. Since each wearable device needs a platform to function, mobile app developers should keep an option to have their apps integrated with the wearables seamlessly.

AI-enabled apps

AI has already brought in revolution and the days are not far ahead when we will have smart AI-enabled apps for every business. AI has already seen its integration in many mobile apps, and different industries like healthcare, accounts, financing, customer service are not far away to have AI integrated into their business apps.

Cross-platform app development

An app that runs in multiple platforms is a cross-platform app. Developing a cross-platform app reduces time-to-go-to-market along with the development cost of the organization. Having a cross-platform app gives a business a competitive edge over its peers. Cross-platform app development is going to see a mainstream trend in 2020 and of course in the coming years.

Low – code app development to gain popularity

Low code app development keeps coding simple and hence removes the need for large amounts of manual coding. Since the coding is kept simple, there is no complexity and at the same time let your business grow seamlessly. Low-code app development is going to gain huge popularity in the next few years.

Blockchain

Blockchain has already caused disruption and reshaped the mobile app development industry. Businesses are already leveraging blockchain for enhancing security, tracking, and quality controls. Many businesses are already using blockchain for ensuring secure and faster transactions. Blockchain is going to stay and play an important role in the mobile app development in 2020 and years to come.

Instant apps may have a future

Google launched instant apps way back in 2016. An instant app is a native app that works as a website. So that users don’t need to download anything to get access. Hollar and NYTimes claimed that they were able to increase the conversion rate from 20 percent to 27 percent by introducing an instant mobile application. Instant apps are going to see some traction in the coming days.

Mobile apps are indispensable for a business that wants to see growth. Irrespective of the technology you adopt, mobile apps are going to rule across industries for years to come. NLP or Natural Language Processing is one of the most interesting and exciting features of data science that aims to analyse the human language and facilitate human – machine interaction. It can be safely said the future of NLP is bright and promising and it is going to rule AI and machine learning in the coming days.

What is NLP?

In simple words, NLP uses computational and mathematical approaches to analyse the human language and helps machines to engage in human interaction through conversational language. This is achieved by machine learning. It focuses on natural language narratives. For example, imagine an intelligent application that can call and reserve a table for you and your family conversing with a human being on the other side. IBM’s Debater Project Debater is another path breaking innovation in the field of AI that has the capability of arguing with human beings on complex subjects. It has been only possible through leveraging NLP.

The foundation of NLP was laid back many decades ago when human being first started exploring with it. Over the years it has been researched upon to a great extent. Today, NLP is creating ripple in the AI industry and we can say that NLP has a promising future in the coming days.

Roadmap of NLP – The future is promising

Every industry is now leveraging the power of NLP to delight their customers. Whether you’re on an ecommerce portal or business utilities, NLP is getting used extensively. Alexa and Siri are some of the best examples where NLP is used. NLP is not just restricted to that, but we see it in every day chatbot interaction at ecommerce platforms, virtual assistants answering complicated human questions, emotional analysis and lot more. With so much progress already made in NLP, all we can say is the future of NLP is really promising.

At present NLP can be trained to answer a series of questions, a bit complicated question. But soon there will be time when NLP can be trained not only to answer a question but to provide more complex solution to the intent of the question. For example, right now NLP can be trained to answer a question like “Is my network connection working?” But in future, NLP can understand the intent behind the question, like do you want it to be fixed?

The future of NLP and chatbots

Chatbots are used extensively in customer service where customers chat with the bot as they would do with human agents. In the coming days, NLP can be further trained and integrated with semantic and other cognitive technologies to enable the bot to respond to more complex human queries.

NLP for better search

Just like chatbots, NLP can be used to give a user better search results with “search like you talk” feature instead of giving a search result based on keywords.

NLP in extracting information from unstructured information

No matter where NLP is used, it will form a critical bridge to extract the useful information from unstructured and complicated information.

NLP and enterprise AI

Leveraging NLP, businesses are now focusing more on how it can be used in future to read, analyse and extract useful information from the vast pool text and data available.

The opportunities with NLP are limitless. Soon, NLP could be trained to understand more complex human emotions. Further, it could be linked with other technologies like facial recognition and gesture recognition to perform more complicated tasks making businesses more customer centric. The possibilities are immense. Only time will tell what the future has in store for us. Till then let’s wait and watch!

As we continue to live in the age of smartphones, mobile apps are going to rule our lives for many years to come. With thousands of apps getting developed and pushed into the app stores every day, there are hardly any businesses that are not leveraging this powerful marketing tool to reach a wider audience base globally. However, the most important question is how do you stand out from this age of cut-throat competition when every organization, big or small, startups or enterprises have an app developed for their businesses? If you are looking for an app to be developed for your company and make it a class apart, then here are some of the current trends that will be influencing mobile app development in 2019. Read and see how you can incorporate them into your mobile app.

5. Engaging UI and UX

How do your users feel about your app’s UI and UX? Are they engaging enough? Remember, it takes a few seconds for a user to uninstall an app and move on. If you are looking for developing an app that converts, then you certainly need to invest some time on UI and UX. Explore new technologies like augmented reality, interactive content layers, circular design patterns, and explicit content to stand out. Keep updating with relevant content and delight your users with engaging UI and UX.

6. IoT or Internet of Things

Perhaps you have already witnessed how IoT is taking over everything. This technology lets you interlink various aspects within an organization so that each entity can access relevant data faster. You should be exploring this platform if your business goal is heading towards agility.

7. Instant apps

Mobiles apps which are fast and do not consume too much of device memory space are going to rule for the rest of 2019. Instant apps are something to watch out for if you’re concerned about the memory space. Instant apps, as the name goes, works instantly without any need to install them.
